Kitikong Tilokwattanotai est né à Lampang en Thaïlande en 1978. Il vit et travaille à Chiang-Mai. Diplômé en gravure de l’Université de Chiang Mai, il s’expatrie en 2001 à Sydney en Australie pour obtenir en 2003 un mastère Art & Design à l’University of New South Wales. De retour à Chiang-Mai en 2004,  Kitikong enseigne les techniques de la gravure artistique à l’Université de Rajamangala de Chiang Mai.

En 2014, il crée à Chiang Mai le studio Art on Paper. Ce lieu de résidence et d’exposition accueille des artistes Thaïlandais et internationaux autour de la création artistique utilisant les techniques du monoprint et de la gravure.

Le travail abstrait de Kitikokng repose sur la capture et la mémorisation de ses émotions. Dans les séries exposées par la 193 Gallery, il utilise une technique picturale basée sur des coups de pinceaux successifs provoquant des accumulations de matière colorée d’épaisseur variable. La transparence et la cristallinité de la couche de laque qu’il applique va ensuite figer ces sédiments dont la texture et la couleur emmèneront le spectateur dans un état contemplatif.

Kitikong Tilokwattanotai was born in Lampang, Thailand in 1978. He lives and works in Chiang-Mai. A graduate in printmaking from the University of Chiang Mai, he moved to Sydney in Australia in 2001 to obtain a master's degree in Art & Design in 2003 from the University of New South Wales. Returning to Chiang-Mai in 2004, Kitikong Tilokwattanotai taught engraving techniques  at the Rajamangala University in Chiang Mai.

In 2014, he created the Art on Paper studio in Chiang Mai. This place of residence and exhibition welcomes Thai and international artists around artistic creation using the techniques of monoprint and engraving.

Tilokwattanotai's abstract work is based on capturing and memorizing his emotions. In the series exhibited, Tilokwattanotai uses a pictorial technique based on successive brushstrokes causing accumulations of colored matter of varying thickness. The transparency and crystallinity of the lacquer layer he applies will then freeze these sediments, the texture and color of which will take the viewer into a contemplative state.
