Zahrin Kahlo est une photographe marocaine qui vit et travaille en Italie. Après avoir obtenu un diplôme en littérature étrangère, elle a commencé à voyager fascinée par les pays décrits par ses écrivains préférés (Argentine, Iran, Turquie, Egypte, Espagne, Syrie ...). Ces expériences ont déclenché son amour pour la photographie et elle a décidé de commencer des études d’art avec un accent particulier sur la photographie orientale.

Son travail repose sur la double identité d’une femme qui a décidé de ne plus être le symbole d’une culture unique. Le médium de la photographie devient un moyen idéal pour représenter la sphère intime d’une femme, avec tous ses fantômes, ses fantasmes et ses complexes reliés par des images aux souvenirs et à l’inconscient. Une photographie qui se veut vulnérable aux traces et aux signes du temps et à toutes leurs imperfections. Ses recherches personnelles actuelles incluent un portrait anthropologique de la figure féminine dans le film de Fellini.

Moroccan photographer lives and works in Italy as a photographer and videographer. After obtaining a diploma in foreign literature, she begins to travel fascinated by the countries described by her favorite writers (Argentina, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Spain, Syria ...). These experiences sparked her love for photography, and she decided to start art studies with a particular emphasis on oriental photography.

Her work is based on the dual identity of a woman who has decided to no longer be the symbol of a single culture. The medium of photography becomes an ideal medium to represent the intimate sphere of a woman, with all its ghosts, fantasies and complexes which are linked by images to memories and to the subconscious.

A photograph that wants to be vulnerable to the traces and signs of time and all their imperfections. Her current personal research includes an anthropological portrait of the female figure in Fellini's film.
