PRESENTATION
The 193 Gallery pays tribute to Japanese contemporary art through an exhibition, which presents at the same time its prominent names, exhibited in the biggest museums in the world: Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Ushio Shinohara, but as well, the emerging scene of the Tokyo neo-pop: Takeru Amano, Fantasista Utamaro, 281_Anti Nuke, Koji Kasatani, Hiro Ando, Hajime Sorayama, Hiraku.
Colorful and exuberant, Japanese contemporary art is a reflection of a society carried by its traditions but more than ever anchored in both modernity and pop culture.
This exhibition of 10 Japanese artists marks the official launch of the 193 Gallery (193 as the number of countries in the world). Over the seasons, the gallery will present exhibitions dedicated to foreign cultures.
