Discovery of the artistic lexicon of
the Cameroonian art scene
From June 2 to July 31, 2022
The 193 Gallery Paris explores the artistic lexicon of the Cameroonian art scene by presenting the works of eight contemporary artists. This eclectic panorama highlights all the cultural effervescence of Cameroon which today finds resonance on the international scene.
Installed since last April in Venice, the 193 Gallery continues its cycle of Colore e Materia exhibitions with its second part entitled Traits to remember: the aesthetics and politics of black portraits. Through the practice of the portrait, the artists Sesse Enlangwe, Idris Habib and Bara Sketchbook carry out a work of memory by celebrating the black body.
