FRANCISCO UGARTE
MEXICO
PRESENTATION
Born in 1973 - Lives and works in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The mexican artist Francisco Ugarte bases his multimedia and abstract works on the study of architecture and its effects, in particular the role of light and geometry in the construction of the viewer's perception of space.
By using a variety of media, including site-specific interventions, video, installation, sculpture and drawing, his work can be understood as a phenomenological exercise in which reality is understood through contemplation, persecution and the essence of things.
The artist presents both a series of monochrome and a more abstract work from his series "Reflection".
His work has been presented in New York, Chicago, Denver, Miami, London and Mexico City.
