7 to 18 OCTOBER 2020
WITH HASSAN HAJJAJ, NYABA OUEDRAOGO, THANDIWE MURIU, DERRICK OFOSU BOATENG AND EBUKA MICHAEL
FROM 07 TO 18 OCT. 2020
Photo London is one of the largest fairs dedicated to contemporary photography, and takes place from October 7 to 18, 2020, with two preview days on October 5 and 6.
We present on our Photo London booth a selection of artists from our next exhibition "Colors of Africa", which will be presented from October 22 to December 13 at the Gallery (7 rue des filles du calvaire, 75003 Paris).
Artists: Hassan Hajjaj (Morocco), Thandiwe Muriu (Kenya), Derrick Boateng (Ghana), Ebuka Michael (Nigeria) and Nyaba Ouedraogo (Burkina Faso) use certain codes to free themselves from them.
In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.
They grind, explore, play with the limits of photographic material. In fact, they structure their compositions in order to better challenge the unconscious and offer us a new aesthetic thought, embodied, at the confluence of the Americas.
Between the Moroccan pop of Hassan Hajjaj, the tribute to the beauty and modernity of African women by Kenyan Thandiwe Muriu, the identity reflections of Nyaba Ouedraogo and the explosion of colors of the new generation of photographers using the iPhone , represented by Derrick Boateng and Ebuka Michael, "Colors of Africa" celebrates a certain philosophy of positive life, imbued with vitality and hope.
