About the artwork and the artist
Kitikong Tilokwattanotai's abstract work is based on the capture and memorization of his emotions. In the series exhibited, Kitikong uses a pictorial technique based on successive brushstrokes causing accumulations of colored matter of varying thickness. The transparency and crystallinity of the layer of lacquer he applies will then freeze these sediments whose texture and color will take the viewer into a contemplative state.
